Reception

When you walk into our Clinic the first thing you will see is our Reception Desk. This is where you check in for your scheduled appointment.  Our two Receptionists take calls and handle the appointment making as well as making sure as soon as you come in that you are brought back to a room as soon as possible. If you forgot your leash or pet carrier at home the girls up front are more then happy to lend you one of ours!

Exam Room

When you are checked in by our receptionist they will bring you and your pet back to an Exam Room. We have 4 Exam Rooms to accommodate you. We try our best to get you into an Exam room and have a member of our Medical Team come in immediately to assist you.  This is where we do a complete nose to tail physical on your pet. This physical will include taking your pets temperature, listening to their Heart and Lungs, checking their Teeth and Ears among other things. This is where you can ask any questions or express any concerns in regards to your pets.  Remember, no question is a dumb question.  We learn something new everyday in this field!

Treatment Area

This is our Treatment Area.  This is where a big portion of our day is spent. We do anything from preparing your pet for Surgery, to a simple Blood Draw for a Heartworm Test.  After your pet undergoes Surgery we keep them in this room to monitor.  Also if you have a sick or injured pet we keep them in this room so we can monitor them as well.

Diagnostic Exam Room

Our Diagnostics Room is used mostly if your pet needs an Ultrasound. We are able to see if your pet has puppies as well as if your pet has any sort of blockage or Tumor.  This room also has a Microscope that we use to check the in-house Labs that we do here, which include, Urinalysis, Fecal Exams, Ear Swab Cytology, or Skin Scrapes.  We can also use this room as a Routine Exam Room.

In-House Laboratory

Our In-House Laboratory is used for in-house testing.  We can do Blood Tests to see if your pet has Heartworm, Feline Leukemia or FIV, A Urinary Tract Infection, Internal Parasites, etc.  This is all completed while you are here for your pest visit.  We have 3 Blood Panels that we can run here as well, one of which is our Pre-Anesthetic Blood Panel.  We know how important it is to find out what is wrong with your pet and we use this Laboratory so we can get your pet on the correct medication and on the road to recovery.

Surgery Prep Area 

This is the area that our medical team preps for Surgery.  Everything in this area is sterilized for your pets safety.  All of our Surgical Instruments are put into an Autoclave directly after use.  When they are taken out of the Autoclave they are then put into sterilized packs that are labeled for that specific Surgery.  This area also contains all of our Sterile Sutures, Veterinary Surgical Gowns and Masks, as well as any Surgical Solutions we have.  We strive to make your pets Surgery go as smoothly as possible!

Surgery Room 

This is where we perform your pets Surgery.  We offer Elective Surgeries such as Spay, Neuter, and Declaw (we only declaw the front paws) as well as Emergency Surgeries.  As you can see we have a Vital Scan Monitoring System in the room while your pet is under Anesthetic. This machine monitors Heart Rate, Oxygenation of Blood, Respiratory Rate, Temperature and Blood Pressure, throughout the entire procedure. We also have a Technician / Assistant at your pets side monitoring them
as well throughout the entire Surgery.

Comfort Room

The hardest part of our job is done in this room.  Every pet that comes into our Clinic steals a piece of our hearts.  Our Comfort Room is designed for you to be able to say your last goodbyes without being disturbed.  We want you to know that we are with you every step of the way throughout your pets life, and that includes saying goodbye. 

 Our Doctors use, and highly recommend a company called Pet Rest Inc. for any cremation services you may need. This company is family owned and absolutely wonderful in helping us during this difficult time.  They are located in Ossian, IN and offer many different products on their website, and are more then happy to answer any of your questions or concerns.

Isolation Room  

Our Isolation Room is used when we have a sick pet come in that is contagious.  This could be a cat that has an Upper Respiratory Infection, a dog with Parvovirus, a feline that is FIV positive or Feline Leukemia Positive, etc.  This is used so that no other pet that comes into the Clinic can contract anything contagious.

Kennels

We use our kennels to Board your pets while you are away.  They are given food at 8 am and then again at 5 pm.  We offer Hills Science Diet while your pet Boards with us, as well as any bedding.  And LOVE! We make sure to go back and listen to them tell us all about their day!

Your pet is walked multiple times throughout the day.  If you have never Boarded your pet and are feeling a bit nervous, we are more
than happy to bring you back into the Kennel on a Tour to show you where your pet will be kept!
